Taste the experience of the mountain
Ours is a family refuge, created by the brave and brilliant idea of Ilario Bonardelli who, with Rose, his wife, decided in 1963 to open a place in the beautiful Conca del Baremone, 1450 meters high, between the beautiful colors of pines and beeches. You can also stay, refresh not only the spirit but also the body with the juicy flavors of the typical mountain cuisine. The Baremone zone (also known as Passo del Marè) is a natural hollow in the group of the Passo di Croce Domini, wedged between Val Sabbia and Val Trompia and between Lago d’Idro and Monte Maniva. The Passo di Baremone can be a great point of departure or transit for many hikes along the trails in the area.
Our express kitchen
At Rifugio Rosa di Baremone you can enjoy the intense flavors of Val Sabbia, sons of the gastronomic mountain history. From the well-known polenta taragna with Bagòss (famous cheese of the area) to local salami produced in the huts of the valley. A kitchen that wants to reproduce the flavors and smells of tradition. Simple, yet rich in taste. Stopping a few hours to eat and refresh will be a real natural remedy for your senses.
Immerse yourself in the most beautiful nature
The flora and fauna in this area are among the most beautiful and uncontaminated; during your excursions you can see lots of plants and animals that, with their presence, make the mountain valleys unique. If you decide to leave the heights to get close to the banks of the lake you can visit the picturesque villages of Idro, with its lakeside beaches where you can rent small boats or pedal boats; Anfo, famous for its strong military setting of many events of Italian and European history; Ponte Caffaro in the municipality of Bagolino, famous for its bridge over the river Chiese that from 1861 to 1918 marked the border between the Kingdom of Italy and Austria Hungary.
